Grievance Procedure for ADA

 

 

Step 1    (a)    Any individual may file a grievance with the ADA Coordinator or designee outlining what the grievant believes to be a violation of the Act.

              (b)     The ADA Coordinator or designee will contact the grievant within fifteen calendar days and set up a meeting with the grievant at a mutually convenient time and date.

              (c)     The ADA Coordinator or designee will meet with the grievant and determine what facts are believed to be in dispute.

              (d)     The ADA Coordinator or designee will attempt to resolve the complaint if it is within his or her authority to do so.

Step 2    (a)     If the ADA Coordinator or designee is unable to resolve the complaint, s/he shall notify the grievant and the agency Head of the decision.

               (b)     The ADA Coordinator or designee will forward to the agency head all facts and allegations made by the grievant.

               (c)     The Agency Head will contact the grievant within fifteen days to set up a meeting at a mutually convenient time and date.

               (d)     The Agency Head will attempt to resolve the grievance if it is within the Agency Head's authority to do so or refer the grievance to the appropriate authority.
