  The Division of Instruction
 


The Division of Instruction consists of 5 bureaus/offices:

Bureau of Accountability

The mission of this office is to improve the achievement of students by providing educational leadership though accountability.

Office of School Health

Provides information and assistance about HIV prevention education, Health education, and School Health Services, which deals with health care issues in schools.

Office of Educational Technology

The Office of Educational Technology (OET) provides leadership and assistance to schools regarding the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into the teaching and learning process. OET collects and disseminates information on ICT, such as annual technology surveys, online professional development, virtual schools, technology planning, library media services, Internet safety, and the federal E-Rate program, based on current trends, research, and funding opportunities. OET also manages the NH Educators Online ( NHEON ) web resources and administers the distribution and evaluation of educational technology grant programs, including the Enhancing Education through Technology (NCLB Title II-D) program and the e-Learning for Educators initiative ( OPEN-NH ).


Bureau of Special Education - The Bureau of Special Education is charged with providing oversight and implementation of federal and state laws that ensure a free appropriate education for all children and youth with disabilities in New Hampshire.

Bureau of Integrated Programs

The Bureau of Integrated Programs provides leadership, technical assistance, and professional development to schools and community-based organizations in the implementation of specific federal grant programs authorized through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and amended by the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001” (PL 107-110).
