New Hampshire GED Testing Program

The GED Testing Program gives adults and out-of-school youth an opportunity to demonstrate their academic skills and to earn the New Hampshire High School Equivalency Certificate.  GED programs operate under the auspices of the GED Testing Service®.

Notice!  The GED Tests will change in the future.    Test-takers who have not completed and passed all sections of the GED Tests are urged to complete as soon as possible.   IT'S ALSO IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT YOU CANNOT TAKE GED TESTS ONLINE.  A website that suggests that you can take GED Tests online is not legitimate.

Please Note: On July 1, 2009, the New Hampshire compulsory school age changed from 16 to 18. The process for seeking permission to take GED Tests before the age of 18 also changed. GED permissions from the New Hampshire GED administrator will no longer be valid. Students 16 and 17 years old will be able to register to take GED tests only if they have GED Referral Form 1 from a GED Option program, GED Referral Form 2 from their local school district, or GED Referral Form 3 for home schooled students.  There is a Referral Form 4 for students in correctional institutions.  These forms require students to demonstrate that they have passed Official GED Practice Tests.
