picture of booksINFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

UNDER THE AGE OF 18

The information below is for 16 and 17-year-old youth who wish to apply to take the GED Tests.

Please Note: On July 1, 2009, the New Hampshire compulsory school age changed from 16 to 18. The process for seeking permission to take GED Tests before the age of 18 also changed. GED permissions from the New Hampshire GED administrator will no longer be valid. Students 16 and 17 years old will be able to register to take GED tests only if they have GED Referral Form 1 from a GED Option program, GED Referral Form 2 from their local school district, or GED Referral Form 3 for home schoolers.  These forms require students to demonstrate that they have passed Official GED Practice Tests.
