The
Department has a significant number of data collection
efforts in place to report on the progress of schools
and provide valuable data to help improve schools. The
Educational Statistics System (ESS)
is used to collect data from annual forms such as the
A12A and A3. Other student data systems such as the
Special Education system (SPEDIS) and Career and Technical
Education system are further examples of the complex
and important data collection efforts.
We are in the process of updating this Data Collections
web page. As we move forward we will continue to update
this page with both surveys and forms. Additionally
reports that display
the results of many of the data collections can be viewed
on the Department's website as well as Data
Tools that can use to learn about a school's performance.
The myNHDOE system and all related systems will be taken off line for maintenance at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2009 and will not be put back into production until 8:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and appreciate your patience as we improve our systems. Thank you.
ESS Web Submission
The Electronic Submission System (ESS) is used to collect data from the school districts. Data is entered directly on line or can be uploaded to the NH DOE. Currently all SAU’s have a user name and password to gain access to ESS. If your district or school needs a separate name and password please contact Adam Heard.
ESS forms support the following reports:
- Fall Enrollment
reports
- End of Year reports
- Dropouts and Graduates Reports
- ESOL School Testing Report
- No Child Left Behind - Title IIA Baseline NH Educator Survey
- State Assigned Student Identification (SASID)
i4see
The Initiative for School Empowerment and Excellence (i4see) is a student level data collection that will eliminate many of the aggregate school and district reports. i4see will reduce the burden on districts, improve the quality of data and enable important analysis such as gains based analysis of assessments and the ability to help reduce the drop-out rate.
Administrators and teachers with have easy access to valuable data, helping improve the education for every child. The assignment of a state assigned student identifier (SASID) is the first deliverable of this initiative.
All student-level data collections must be submitted electronically, paper submissions will not be accepted. All submissions should be comma separated data files. It is important that your file does NOT contain header records.
PerformancePLUS
Performance Pathways is a product suite that was developed to assist districts to manage and organize
vital and timely information about student achievement by integrating curriculum and assessment data.
Education Research
New Hampshire has a fantastic wealth of researcher and research organizations throughout our state. To collaborate with these researchers as well as researchers through the country and beyond, the Department of Education has pulled together resouces to assist in sharing data, information and collaborating on research projects. This webpage will be used to help in the collaboration and communication.
